We started this in a DM.

One of us was a Data Analyst at Bolt. The other was a Software Engineer at Wise. We spent years sending each other screenshots of corporate moments that made us laugh, memes about meetings that could've been emails, and jokes that only really land if you've been in those rooms.

At some point, we realized: this kind of humor didn't have a proper home. There wasn't a brand for the quietly competent engineer who wanted something more thoughtful than "code lol" merch. So we decided to make one.

Asocial Penguin Labs exists because we wanted apparel that matched how we actually think — compressed, precise, intelligent, and subtle enough to wear to the office without raising eyebrows.

We're not cynical. We're just observant. We appreciate efficiency and have a soft spot for dry humor.

This started as a hobby project and grew into something we're genuinely proud of. We design every print ourselves. We test every phrase against the same question: Would I actually wear this?

If it feels too loud or explains the joke too much — we start over.
